Jim Emerton talks to Mark Evans
I also like to see a good strong dark bar on a blue bar pigeon and more so if the third bar is showing on the wing. Over the years in our own lofts I've noticed the weak barred pigeons don,t breed generation after generation. Long kept records have proven the fact that we at Myrtle Lofts have had very little success.

Me & my Shadow
The above list is but a small example of Shadow,s blood that flows through the veins of a multitude of winners, and if I were to count and report on all the Club, Federation & Combine winners or other Classic and National positions won by his offspring I would be writing this article none stop for weeks.

Inbreeding & Line breeding
Success in racing and breeding is down to good judgment when first purchasing new stock then after a length of time, ensuring that you, by the selection of the basket finish up with only the very cream of your new family.

The U.K. National M.N.F.C. Champions
Gary quotes "no other Vandenabeeles looked the same, handled the same or have performed the same as the M & D. Evans Vandenabeeles. I do believe this is because Mark and Dick purchased direct from Gaby in what is known in Europe as the Golden Years between 1985 to 1995".
